Welcome back to an exciting new term, which gives your child, as part of the oldest year group, the opportunity to set examples for the rest of the school.  Our first topic is Mountains, which will incorporate our highly anticipated trip to The Lakes.  Before half term, we will move on to our second topic: World War 2.

Children are expected to read every day.  To assist this, they have been given a reading journal – the aim of which is to focus their reading.  They should complete 2 pages a week (in any order).  The completed journals should be handed in on Monday 12 December.  Spellings will be tested each week; writing the spelling within a sentence in the booklet MAY aid learning.  Topic homework will be given out at a later date.
